9 Things Guys Think After Sex

Cuddling is great. There, I said it.

1. I need a minute. I think I just came my brains out. Literally. It’s like that orgasm flipped a reset switch in my brain. All the necessary functions are slowly coming back online, but until then I don’t know what’s happening.

A Complete Beginner's Guide to Anal Sex

1. Don’t try it if you don’t want to. There’s a big difference between “I don't necessarily fantasize about getting a penis enema but I want to blow my partner's mind” and “I would rather die than do this but I guess I can suffer through it because he’s been pressuring me.” If you’re in a mutually caring, healthy relationship(with a guy who goes down on you for half an hour, minimum), maybe you’ll want to do it for your partner or you won’t. Either way is 100 percent fine, and if he keeps pressuring you when you have made it clear that it is not on the table, tell him to suck it.

Why Don't We Trust Our Daughters Around Sex?

Penulis : nimcraz on Saturday, December 7, 2013 | 9:13 PM

Saturday, December 7, 2013

The dominant culture still doesn't trust young women with their own sexuality. And the fall out can be so big that it can last a life time. I don't just see this in the stories of the women I work with in my sex coaching practice or on my retreats.

The other day, I was speaking to my best girl friend in the entire world—and there it was. She was having trouble trusting her daughters around their own relationship with their vaginas.

Now my friend is progressive, smart and liberal. She was sure that her teenage daughters were having sex and she wasn't sure how she felt about it. She worried about what the neighbors would think if she let her college age daughter bring her boyfriend home for the holidays to "sleep over." She worried about her 17 year old being sexual because she was just too young to handle it.
And this is where I stopped her. After all, she had trusted her daughters since they were born to make their own food choices. They had given up meat for years and then started to eat meat again. Eating and nutrition is a really big deal, and she trusted her daughters to know what was right for them to put in their own mouths and into their bodies.

She had trusted them to make choices about their education. Whether to be home schooled or go to mainstream educational programs. She let them choose their own colleges. Education is huge decision. Some would say that it is one of the biggest choices a person can make. It's can change the direction of our lives - and she had total trust in her daughters to make choices that were right for them when it came to education.

I watched her allow her daughters to make choices about how they would express themselves through the arts, dance and the friends that they made. I listened to her tell me about their various injuries through sports and how she believed them when they spoke about their bodies and their emotions.

Now her daughters were becoming sexually active and she couldn't trust them to listen to their own vagina? That made her uncomfortable and nervous. She worried about social morales. She had very subtlety started to shame her daughters in a very unconscious way about their relationship with their own sexuality. She was doing this by trying to control them in way that she had never done before about most everything else in their lives. The message she was sending without meaning to was that her daughters could not trust themselves with their own vaginas. A girls relationship with their own vagina is forever. Is that how we want to start off our young women? By teaching them that they can't listen to and trust their own voices, needs and desires around sexuality?

My friend is not unusual and I'm not shaming her here either. She is a loving parent who deeply believes in her daughters and she is a product of our culture where we shame girls and women all the time around their sexual desires.

The messages of our society is very consistent:

"Young women cannot be trusted with their own sexuality."

"Young women who enjoy sex are sluts."

"Young women can't handle their own relationship with their sexuality and will get pregnant or catch a disease".

"Young women need to be controlled around their sexuality".

We don't teach young women to trust their own relationship with their bodies.

We don't often teach them that they are their own "erotic authority" as my colleaue sex educator Will Fredericks coins the phrase. Instead, we work to control their sexuality and take their power away such as in signing sexual abstinent agreements with their fathers. Or shaming them in subtle ways, like telling them "no kissing" on a date.

The goal should not be to shut down or control our daughters relationships with their own sexuality. We need to allow them to learn how to listen, trust and feel their own sexual instincts. If our daughters cannot learn to trust their own bodies around their sexuality, we are creating another generation of women who will spend most of their adult years trying to re-learn how to feel safe in their own skins.

We need to support our daughters not to numb out their relationship with their vaginas and learn to listen deeply to their own inner voices. If our daughters are taught that this is the one part of themselves that they do not control—we are setting them up for a life of pain and struggle.

If we can educate our daughters about their sexuality in an open and trusting way; always empowering them to listen to their own bodies before the will of anyone else—we will be preventing so much life long heartache.

Elton John Blasts Russian Government During Moscow Concert

Despite his earlier claim that he would not speak out against the Russian government during a concert in Moscow, Elton John did just that. During last night's show, John not only condemned the country's homophobic laws but also explained why he chose to perform in the country. He also took a moment to dedicate the concert to a young victim of anti-gay hate.

John posted a transcript of his statement on his Facebook account. It reads in part:
"...I am deeply saddened and shocked over the current legislation that is now in place against the LGBT community here in Russia. In my opinion, it is inhumane and it is isolating. People have demanded that because of this legislation, I must not come here to Russia. But many, many more people asked me to come and I listened to them. I love coming here. I want to show them and the world that I care and that I don’t believe in isolating people....The spirit we share tonight is what builds a future of equality, love and compassion for my children and for your children. Please don’t leave it behind when you leave tonight. Each and every one of you please, keep this spirit in your life and in your heart. I wish you love and peace and health and happiness. And this show is dedicated to the memory of Vladislav Tornovoi."
Earlier this year, 23-year-old Tornovoi was brutally raped and murdered in southern Russia by two friends after they learned he was gay.

Fighting For LGBTIQ Rights

Penulis : nimcraz on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 | 11:40 PM

By Waruni Karunarathne
Sexual orientation is hardly a conscious choice made by an individual. Even if it is a choice made by a particular person, what are the grounds on which he or she can be penalized? In many countries, including in Sri Lanka the LGBTIQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Questioning) community is still being seen as criminals and sinners in society. According to the Article 365A of the Sri Lankan Criminal Code, sexual activities of the same-sex are criminalized violating the basic rights of the LGBT community.
In a traditional and conservative society like Sri Lanka, apart from the social pressure, coming to terms with one’s own sexual orientation is an immense challenge. In a homophobic society where heterosexuality is being seen as the ‘divine’ and ‘normal’ form of existence, any other form of sexual orientation is being rejected as ‘unholy’ and a transgression against ‘natural order’.
Speaking to The Sunday Leader, Rosanna Flamer-Caldera, a founding member and Executive Director of Equal Ground, an LGBTIQ rights organization says, “Compared to many countries, we are far behind addressing the issues related to the LGBTIQ community. Even though social prejudice has being reducing to some extent, the LGBTIQ community is still being marginalized on social, religious, political and cultural grounds. Certain religious groups consistently attack and condemn the idea of homosexuality, creating obstacles to the process of increasing the visibility and recognition of one’s sexual identity. The laws in the country have not being amended to protect the rights of the LGBTIQ community in order to accept them as full and equal members of the community”.
She adds vehemently that the discrimination against social minorities has to end. “Like one’s ethnicity is decided at birth, sexual orientation of a person is predetermined. Just because the majority is heterosexual, homosexuality cannot be resonated as a ‘crime against nature’. Often LGBTIQ people are tormented due to the mistreatment by society where they are being subjected to various types of abuse, violence and extortion both within and outside the family. Due to this social discrimination, many LGBT people hide their identity and live in the shadows,” says Rosanna.
“We try to address issues related to gender identity and sexual orientation where individuals are being molested and harassed based on such views,” she said. Rosanna Flamer-Caldera helps LGBTIQ people to embrace their identity in numerous ways. Being a woman, a lesbian and a member of a minor social group Rosanna has faced unimaginable discrimination due to various circumstances throughout her life. She admits that her life has being a constant struggle – especially as a teenager, she had faced an identity crisis alongside the biological changes. It is now her sole motive to provide assistance to other LGBTIQ people to see a future free of injustices and social prejudice.
Many human rights activists have requested for the issue of LGBT rights in the region to be raised at the Commonwealth Head of the Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2013. Out of 53 Commonwealth countries, 41 countries have laws that ban same sex relationships neglecting the legitimate demands of the LGBT community. Some countries still cling to the Victorian morality that inspired colonial laws while Britain itself has decriminalized homosexuality and discarded anti-sodomy laws on same sex relationships.
To push the matters further and to create discussions on the current concerns of the LGBTIQ community at CHOGM, some gay rights activists in Sri Lanka are looking forward to meeting British Prime Minister David Cameron, who was applauded internationally for pressing the matter on legalizing gay marriages.
However, Rosanna says, “Personally, I do not want to represent issues related to LGBT rights at CHOGM as they are already being brought up locally and internationally. We also have communicated pressing issues of our community through various means. It is up to the head of the government to take the required measures to ensure that the fundamental human rights of the minority, which is also a part of the same country, are upheld”.
Expressing his views on the rights of the LGBT community, a member of the Heart to Heart organization Jude Fernando says, “There is social stigma connected especially to MSM (Men who have sex with men) and transgender individuals who are identified as a high-risk group for HIV/AIDS. The gravity of the problem is that MSM and transgender people are not accessing HIV testing and counselling due to the fear of being stigmatized, and this can lead to an HIV epidemic in the country. Our organization works with the Ministry of Health helping to identify the health needs of this community through counselling and guidance.”
Speaking from experience, Jude says, “In the growing up process, many LGBTIQ individuals make it so hard on themselves believing that they are sinners, criminals or impaired and need fixing. The society we live in makes it even harder for them to accept their identities. Forced heterosexual marriages are just one example of the emotional and physical torture the LGBT community encounters in a conservative society – that on the other hand encourage marital rape and spreading of sexually transmitted diseases. The LGBT community is also being constantly humiliated in the workplace, on the road and in countless other social arenas damaging their personalities”.
He adds, “Legalizing gay marriage and LGBT adoption and parenting are concerns that are far beyond our scope right now in a culture where homosexuality is a taboo. What we want right now is social acceptance and dignity to live on equal ground. We are neither criminals who should be punished nor do we suffer from a sickness that needs to be cured.”

The Sexual Bucket List: 50 Things to Do Sexually Before You Die

What sexual things should everyone experience before they die? And how does someone who married young rank against those who didn't?
I got married at 25 and started dating my husband seriously at 23.
Prior to that, I was in two very serious relationships (both of which ended in engagements) over several years and those three men sum up the grand total of my sexual experience. But what I lack in number of partners, I like to think I make up for in enthusiasm and can-do excitement.
I know I lucked out when I met Rob, so I would trade a few wild and crazy sexual experiences for the really good one of meeting my soul mate at 23 (actually, we met at 10) -- but this idea of "sexual bucket lists" does intrigue me.
Ninety percent of these can be done in the context of a loving, safe marriage (like mine). The rest, alas, I will have to leave to the single gals among us. But here is a list of 50 sexual must-dos before you die.
